For Secondary Schools
Secondary Mastery Readiness
Already successful in thousands of primary schools, Teaching for Mastery promotes deep mathematical understanding and creates confident mathematicians.
We now have an exciting opportunity for secondary schools to take part in. The Mastery Readiness Programme offers training and support to schools interested in Teaching for Mastery along with the opportunity to network with other
schools developing mastery readiness.
It is a great opportunity to start the stepped development of mastery in your school.
The programme will cover:
• An introduction to the four key ideas of mastery readiness
• Preparing your department for effective Professional Development
• Strategies to overcome potential barriers
• Development and trial of resources
Two half day workshops
There will be a gap task to complete between sessions.
There is no charge to take part in the project.
Participants will ideally have a position of responsibility within their department, but this is not essential. The main requirement to take part is an enthusiasm for teaching maths and a desire to improve your department’s practice!
This is now fully booked. Please do get in touch via the email address below if you would like to register for the next programme dates.
