Developing A Level Pedagogy
A level pedagogy – How to successfully integrate the teaching of the overarching themes into your department’s practice
The programme involves a direct working partnership between the Yorkshire Ridings Maths Hub and the Advanced Mathematics Support Programme (AMSP).
Teachers across the whole of Yorkshire are welcome to join this online programme.
We are running two groups for this programme in conjunction with Yorkshire and Humber Maths Hub.
One group will be for existing leaders of A level teaching or experienced teachers of A level Mathematics who wish to lead the development of pedagogy in A level teaching with other colleagues in their own or other schools.
The second group will be for teachers of A level Mathematics who are early in their career in terms of teaching A level and wish to lead the development of pedagogy in A level teaching with other colleagues in their own or other schools.
What is involved?
Participants will take part in a series of online collaborative meetings in order to develop the ethos, pedagogy and teaching of the overarching themes in the A Level mathematics specification.
What will you learn?
The programme will examine how to develop the teaching of:
· The use of technology in the teaching and learning of A-level mathematics
What is the cost?
The Developing A Level Pedagogy programme is fully funded by the Maths Hubs Programme and the AMSP so is free to participating schools/colleges.
