Feedback from delegates at previous events:

I really enjoyed looking at different representations, especially algebra tiles and how they can be used for negatives and then for expanding/factorising brackets.

It was great to interact with primary level too. It’s important that the transition between primary and secondary is smooth, so the content needs to flow for the kids.

I loved all of it - however specifically looking at how the use of mathbot and the manipulatives can really help to strengthen pupils’ understanding of maths and concepts taught.

You pointed out a range of useful resources, alongside deepening my understanding of teaching for mastery.

I enjoyed the section on the Bar model - It made me realise just how important it is to children not only in primary education but also secondary.

The online tools to use are fantastic, algebra tiles/demos/maths bot etc. They will really help the classrooms run much smoother. It really taught me that maths teaching online can be really effective once you are familiar with the tools and gain confidence.

I enjoyed learning about the progressive nature of teaching the Maths curriculum and how the learnings from KS2 impacts directly into both the knowledge and understanding pupils take into KS3 and the teaching techniques needed to further nurture and develop this understanding.
— Participant

I really enjoyed being able to review and reflect on mastery across the phases, particularly in the break out session.
